Reflecting on the Past (2021) Planning for the Future (2022)
Serving as an Awana Local Advocate for Greater Cleveland I was privileged of God to help facilitate a FREE Awana Brite Vision Casting & Training on May 1, 2021! We are very grateful to Pastor Gates and Zion Hill Baptist Church for being our awesome Hosts! We are also grateful for the Awana Representatives Samuel Porcha the Awana Director of the Child/Youth Discipleship Network and Laura Gustafson Coordinator of Child/Youth Discipleship Network who came to Cleveland from the Awana International Office in Illinois to help facilitate the Vision Casting & Training. They served us well! Wehad some awesome Ministry of Reconciliation volunteers that helped us in a variety of areas, that we truly thank God for! We praise God for 22 Churches that were represented by their Children and Youth Ministry Workers and especially the Pastors that attended! I was privileged to help cast the vision about the Awana Brite Online Discipleship Curriculum and facilitate the Training with Samuel Porcha! We were grateful to God for using us to help encourage, equip and empower all those who came, that are serving to help the Children and Youth in our region, become Resilient Disciples of Jesus Christ and Young Servant Leaders!
We praise God for the Next Steps that have taken place since the Vision Casting and Training! Two Greater Cleveland Churches have acquired the Awana Brite Curriculum and have fully launched and are utilizing the Curriculum with their Children & Youth! We praise God for 2 Churches that have acquired the Awana Brite Curriculum and recruited their leadership team that we have trained and will launch their 1st Sessions in December 2021 and January 2022!. We praise God for 3 Churches that are recruiting their teams that we will train and prepare them to launch in January 2022! Several Church Youth Groups will be participating using the Awana Brite Curriculum in joint weekly Friday Night LIVE Sessions for Youth in January 2022!
Throughout 2022 we will be hosting and facilitating ongoing FREE Monthly Training for (C/Y) Ministry Workers to assist them in a variety of needed areas! We will facilitate Awana Trainings for Church (C/Y) Youth Ministry leaders and their teams as requested. Our Next Regionwide Awana Brite Discipleship Curriculum Training will be April 23, 2022!
We re-launched our NE Ohio United Networks of Children & Youth Ministries Network’s Monthly Network and Fellowship Night in October 2021! Through these Network & Fellowship Nights (C/Y) Ministry Workers are encouraged, equipped and empowered by praying with and for one another, sharing challenges and successes, resources, ideas, mini-trainings and upcoming events as we labor together to raise up Young Servant Leaders! Throughout 2022 the (C/Y) Ministry Workers Monthly Network & Fellowship Nights will continue!
We partnered with DJ Ronnie Knight and re-launched his Monthly Gospel Skate Nights so that we could help (C/Y) Ministry Workers have a wholesome outing to have fun with the children, youth and families that they serve, in a godly spiritual atmosphere! Throughout 2022 the Gospel Skate Nights will continue!
ACTION – YOU CAN HELP!
- Share with those that you know who serve as (C/Y) Ministry Workers what we are making available at no cost to encourage, equip and empower them.
- Give financially to help enable us to continue encouraging, equipping and empowering (C/Y) Ministry Workers!
- Join us in intercessory prayer for our children & youth and all who serve them, especially the (C/Y) Ministry Workers!
- Volunteers are always needed!
For our Year-End Fundraising Campaign, we have been blessed by gracious donors with a $10,000 Matching Grant – Whatever you give financially will be doubled! GIVING TUESDAY is November 30th!
